Accounting for Manufacturing firm help needed

I have recently joined a manufacturing firm, the problem is i have no background of accounting since i am M.A Econmics now i have taken the challenge and i am looking forward for some help from you people.

If there is any book or site u can recommend it would be highly appreciated.

What is your job overthere, and as far as the accounting background is concerned, this problem cannot be solved by reading any book or going on the website for a person who donot have any accounting background.

i have been working for 2 years in accounting enviornment
i do have some idea about accounting but no experiance regarding cost accouting.
wat do u suggest me to do.

I think you should get a tutor for Cost accounting.

i also of the same view of respected smraza,knowledge over the subject
n working in an evironment is to different things.calculation of manufacturing concern need definitely cost accounting knowlege.
i think u shd go 4 bcom part 2 accounting ....iif i am wrong please correct me ..this is a request 2 other members..as i m also studying cost accounting
