Dears,

Should we discuss more on this issue?

I think it is enough which has been discussed. Shoaib, to your queries I reply as under

ACMA (ICMAP) cannot be compared to CA as

- it does not have an articles experience under the feeling of a bound registered contract; (this feeling has lots of meaning. any internship with own free will cannot replace it).

- efforts required to qualify ACMA are far lesser than CA, in my view.

- ACMAs normally appear to have two problems, at one hand they feel they are qualified. This helps elevating their heads on the shoulders. On the other hand they normally dont know too much about what practically happens when some one is on job. This makes them to feel some deficiencies. This situation does not let them to create acceptability for learning from those who have such knowledge.

- Go to some seminar of ICMAP in Pakistan. You will see a particular community who has done ACMA while they were in government jobs (even as clerks). Such community can be seen every where. I mean in all cities of Pakistan. They can never make their minds like a professional although have qualified professionally playing this exam game all of their lives.

- ACMA as a community are not stronger enough to support well their own profession and juniors.

- What I have observed, ACMAs normally are less desirious to learn (when in jobs) and more desirious to show theirselves as DOCTORS OF PHILOSPHY. This never helps them.

- ACMAs are least taken in industry on KEY POSTS and therefore go to public sector / govt jobs. Due to this they cannot get out of the culture of that in-efficient, primarily dishonest public sector and its other ugly attributes.

These are a few points and are not aimed at to break the hearts. Rather, these are realities. Just check them out with patience and cool head.

I dont much know about UK's ACMA.

Regards,

Kamran.
