I would suggest BDO Ebrahim, since they have an international affiliation. In today's globalisation of Accountancy a brand name becomes quite important.

Thanks Pracs,

But I want to live and earn here in Pakistan Whether
firm affiliation with foreign firm also matters here
in Pakistan?

I had heard that Hameed Chaudary have a lot of listed
company's audits and one guy gains a lot of practical
experience from there as compare to Ebrahim and get
a good package after completion of articleship even
without passing all papers of mod E or F.

Further,Do you know any big client of Ebrahim and co?

zafar.

I am not sure about the client list at BDO Ebrahim,.. I know HC have a lost of listed companies (but textile clients),. the work pressure is quite a lot so you will really need to struggle for study time and all.

With BDO,. you may have the chance of getting to know the worldwide firm's audit process/tools etc,. which ofcourse is always a good thing, so that is a plus even if you do not plan to work outside Pakistan.

A word of advice though, do not join a firm with the notion of going through articles and just half way through,.. go out with the objective of qualifying as an ACA,.. that will get you in better jobs compared to a part qualified status and some CA Partner's endorsement. Remember that will take you only so far,.. its the qualification that will take you on and will add on to your career , especially later in life. So aim to qualify and get into a firm that has a decent track record of being student friendly and have its share of reasonable client mix. You are not going on for a partnership stake there...so if HC is the one so be it..
