ca from icaew

salaam everybody,
i,m new in this forum
but it really liked it,s set up ... khair my question to all of u is .....
is ca from ICAEW valid in pak ?
i have done ca foundation from icap but then shifted over to acca...currently i,m gonna give 1st 4 papers of acca in june..... now wt i want to know is ..... will ca foundation or acca help me out to get exemption if i apply for ca in icaew.......

pls do inform me regarding any sort of information u get about it...

First things first, ICAEW is accepted in Pakistan... An ACA from ICAEW has to appear for law and taxation exams of ICAP to be eligible to practice in Pakistan as an ACA...

An ACCA qualified gets more exemptions from ICAEW than an ACA from ICAP...

By the way, just out of sheer curiosity, why did you EVER start ACCA and QUIT ICAP after clearing your foundation????

I wanna congrats u. For such a bold decision if u wanna do ICAEW then opt for ACCA first as its the best possible route.

thanx for ur replies well i had to change my field cz of soem personal reasons sumaan btu to be honest i loved ca field & now i have to go to uk ... so i want to complete it from there...

& than for appriciating my decision to join ICAEW ... but 1 more thing will i get exemption after doing full ACCA or on partly completed ACCA

at teh moment i,m nto doing training but i,m looking foward towards it ... so lets seee wt comes out

You get exemptions from ICAEW through ACCA on a paper to paper basis... For example you have to clear 2.6 and 3.1 both to get exemption from the audit examination paper of ICAEW... So its better to be an ACCA qualified if you're seeking exemptions from ICAEW.

salam all brothers and sisters.
I need some information about icaew.That are if some one pass all 14 papers of ACCA+one yrs experience of acca training firm in london,then how much minimum time he will do CA from ICAEW.
I think my question is straight forward but i want a detailed answer.
