i also want to know who the best teachers for 1.1 and 1.2 are in karachi?

More students are able to clear the written examinations of 1.1 and 1.2 because you get marks on answer presentation and working as well, which is obviously not the case in CBEs.

Students prefer CBE because they think tackling MCQs is comparatively easier... There is also a thing in students mind which is incorrect... They think they would have to study less for MCQs, but only those manage to clear CBEs who have strong basics of accountancy and related topics because MCQs are very tricky!

I totally agree with sumaan that you can score more easily in written exam because you are given marks for working not just for answer why in CBE's the answers are fized in computers so that you mark it if that computer has in it's check bank it will correct it otherwise mark it wrong. So difficult to score. While preparation for both the type takes almost same time and same studies but pattern for preparing is different as there are some questions which can be asked in written but not in CBE. I think good teachers for these papers are Naveed Bukhari and Safdar Mithani.

i think that CBE's r much more decent..quicker result, easy to settle with...u can fix ure own date...do it at the time which suits u best...and the trick to them is...do as many mcq's as possible!the thing is the mcq's r not new...they repeat...ive done them both on cbe's and many of the mcq's were ones ive seen before...get them from the revision books and the mcq passcards...but along with all the mcq practice...u do havto know all the stuff...u cant afford to skip topics or study less for it cuz its mcq's only...the nicest point is u dun need to learn how to draw up accounts n waste time on neatness or watever...but if u dunno the stuff...then go for paper based cuz u get to show the workings and gain marks on some parts

In my opinion CBE is better than the handwritten exam, bcaz the objective of most of the students is to clear the exams and MCQs based exams are easy to clear if your concepts are strong, even you can take advantage of "Tukka", if there is no negative marking, but in handwritten exam you can not take advantage of tukka if u dont understand the question, as u will have to attempt the whole question. and in written exams the no of questions are less with high marks per question but in MCQs there are lot of questions with minimum marks say one or two, so it is quiet easy to go for CBE.

AHHH so here is an other discussion topic. Leave all the fzz now dont ever try to give any further CBE. As already written by mint that the questions in CBE are same. I agree and disagree both with him. The main point is that ACCA repeated the MCQ's. They now have adopted an strict attitude towards CBE's and from March onwards no MCQ will be repeated in CBE. The CBE have became much tougher and so the pass rate for CBE has considerabely dropped. As i myself has attempted the CBE's so my clear advice for u is that DONT ATTEMPT THEM. As now they r a alot tougher to score marks and even to pass.

Can u dig it SUcka
