Salaam.

My name is Ghous and I've only recently completed my A levels. I plan on pursuing CFA in future.

If there is anybody out there undertaking or planning to undertake or is already a CFA I would really appreciate some help.

My main concern is the entry route. Is it necessary for me to do a 4 years Bachelors say from IBA before I can register for CFA or will a Bcom degree suffice?

Is job experience a necessity or a matter of preference or none?

I would really appeciate any help that can be provided.

GOd bless.

Regards,
Ghous.

To enroll in CFA you ought to have a US Graduation ( 4 years Graduation Program in Pakistan ) which is 16 years of education. If you are short of the education benchmark then you have to Compensate it with RELEVANT work experience eg

1 16 years education, no work experience = 16 years
2 14 years education. 2 years work experience = 16 years
3 12 years education. 4 years eork experience = 16 years

Thankyou for the reply,

Furthermore,

Would it matter if I do my B.com privately? What the CFA registration wants is a bachelor's certificate right? (plus work experience if necessary)

Regards,
Ghous.

In very ideal case, 1.5 years i.e. December L1, June L2, and then next June L3. But it is rare.
