Actually, my cousin is doing Software engineering from Punjab univ. for one year and wants to switch from engineering to ACCA.
I advised for completing the BS, then go for ACCA. As now CAD is requirement for ACCA, which will take 1~1.5 years before starting ACCA.
Could any one suggest, what is the better choice?
As ACCA is a totally different field than Soft. Eng, so B.S. in soft. Eng will be consider an advantage with ACCA ?? or CAT->ACCA is more valuable path for future?
thanks

switching is useless for him.....tell him to complete his software engineering...afterwards he can do courses of finance and business info systems...that line of field is better than pure ACCA

Depends upon his aptitude and interest..
If he thinks that BS is not his cup of tea then he should switch..
I can give example of my college fellow who left BS(EE) from UET for CA after one semester.he is very successful now in accountancy..

CA of course is good choice as career path. But picking ACCA will give same career in future? Having only ACCA degree with you.
Again it comes to Comparision b/w ACCA and C.A.
C.A. of course it more good choice, but for now ACCA will take nearly same time as S.E. degree.
Also market value for S.E. from Punjab univ. is also a question mark?
