Yasir,

1) You can do CMA (IMA) through self study provided you have accounting background and solid base of accounting concepts.

2) I used IMA material (plus my books of ICMAP) and you need to buy directly from IMA through their website.

3) Self study and I don't know anybody who is providing tution but there are some institutions (Morgan etc.) which are providing coaching of CMA (IMA) and just recently I received email from IMA Riyadh chapter that there are coaching classes of CMA (IMA) available for males/females in Prince Sultan University (Riyadh). You can check with them.

Regards.

Tariq.

Yes, There are 2 Learning Partners in Riyadh, Morgans And PSU. Well, Personally I think Its better to Order Study Materials Design and Created by Experts. I would Like to Know Which Study Material You have Used For your Preparation.

- There Are Lot of Authorize Learning Partners Available, Please tell me Which One U have Choosed For your Ease I am Providing U Quick Link
http//www.imanet.org/certification_preparation_study_self.asp

-At one point in Gleims Website, I read that they are offering 100 Percent Assurance for Success and Passing the Examinations. What did this mean ??? Are they offering Sort of Brain-Dumps to pass Exam ???

-Paper Contains Same Questions, Which You have Prepared in Course Materials ? Or Course Material Just offered Concepts, And Paper can be come from Anywhere ???

-What sort of Experience IMA required ? Like In AccA Your experience must be build under Chartered Accountant ? And CA can only Sign your Experience. So whats the case in CMA ? Is there Specific Requirement to care for, Or U just need general Experience Certificate ?

Thanks.

Yasir,

1) Please read my last post and you will get the answer..which material I used.

2) Gleim 100% success assurance means that if you will able to grip their material then definitely you will pass CMA exam.

3) In professional qualification you should not expect same questions which are available in the course. Course will enable you to understand the concept.

4) IMA required supervisor level experience in management accounting but that will be general industry experience not particularly with CA or CPA firms. I think ACCA also accepting industry experience and anybody who is holding professional designation like CPA, CMA, ACA can sign experience certificate of ACCA students and affliates.

I think the measurement criteria used by some members on this post to judge professional exams is immature and unprofessional. The exemptions provided by another professional institute should never be a criteria for judging the true worth of a professional certification. The knowledge imbibed by content studied should be the sole criteria along with the chosen area of specialization of the candidate.

Dear Tariq,
Can you give me suggestions the pattern of study you adopted for passing CMA exam? I have bought Gleim for part 1.

I found that gleim material is very short and they mentioned only outline of the topic.

Should I have to consult other costing books also?

Zubair

Mr. Zubair,

The simple and to the point answer to your all queries is that..stick with your Gleim material and try to be master in all areas of that material from conceptual point of view.

Study of additional material is always handy. Its better if you study some other relevant books but your minimum level before going to CMA exam is 100% master in Gleim material.

Dear Yasi,
I am currently student of ICMAP final stage but USA certification has great demand specialy in middle east so thats why i am going to get this certification.

For enrollment and taking examination you need not to qualify eduction criteria. After passing exam you have to qualify educational as well as experience requirement and submit all required documents. This i have confirmed from IMA.

I have very strong believe that IMA will accept KU bachelor in commerce.

For first time enrollment i have paid US dollars [email protected] because i paid in AED through credit card.

Through enrollment you become IMA member and this is the requirement of IMA to take exam.

For Gleim Material i have paid USD [email protected] and Gleim does't include any kind of video lectures. Only Book and Audio lecture we get if we buy Gleim.

Gleim is not in too much detail but if you have very good accounting as well costing background than it will be very good for you. Hock material is in detail and for those who don't have any finance, accounting and costing background.

I am taking new 2 parts exam because after 28 february of this year you can't get registered in old part exam.

For examination you have to pay USD 350 for each exam. So below is the summary

For first time enrollment $410
Exam (2 parts) $700
Gleim (2 parts) $1000

I don't know exactly the charges for evaluation of education and certification. You may conatact to Tarq he is very helpful and reply quickly.

Please feel free if you want to ask any more query.

I wish you best of luck in your career.

Regards,
Zubair

Before you enter into this venture please note that CMA USA is not a recognized body. The only accounting designation in the USA is CPA. So you need to evaluate this venture well before you take any decision.

But Then why thousands of members considering CMA. In most cases it is seen that Employers are now demanding for CMA. Can u provide us any Link, or considerable evidence about un-recognization of CMA. If only CPA is recognized designation than it means CFA is also not valid ?

Mr.Tariq Sohail, U being a CMA. Can U please post any Link/Infos about recognization and Accredit-ion of CMA(Authenticity of CMA).

Thanks in Advance.
