AOA
I dont have much information about consumer society, but I can tell you that there is Consumer Rights Commission of Pakistan,
having its headquarter in Islamabad. Some three years back I heard a discussion about consumer rights on PTV world. In that discussion they told that they got banned a ghee brand through a suit in court on the basis that ghee of that brand did not melt on normal body temprature. The representative of the commission also participated in a discussion about PTCL monopoly, ect.
