So ACCA is expensive. What is the cost range and then what is the pay scale? What about CA? The cost and the pay scale? What are the opportunities for women in this field anyway?

Dear Maira,

First of all welcome to the forum, kindly, post your query in relevant section e.g career in order to increase the chances of focused responses.

Coming to your question yes as compared to CA, ACCA is expensive. Roughly i guess that if there are total 13 Papers and one paper costs around 120-150 GB Pounds there are other expenses such as tuition fee for a semester which may be around 20,000 per semester which you have to pay to the Institutes from where u will start coaching. Normally, ACCA take a period maximum of 4 years to complete all the papers if someone pays due attention and focused to his career. Normally, ACCA qualified start with a Job minimum package of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 40,000 ( Depending upon industry and your experience with audit firms etc. Few years back there were number of opportunities for ACCA qualified in Middle East and they were getting around UED 10,000 to 15,000. Now a days there is recession in job market and difficult to find a suitable job even in Pakistan.

While discussing CA, There are total 6 semesters called modules, registration fee with ICAP is about Rs 10,000. Per paper fee is around Rs 1,500 and there are about 20 papers till last semester. Tuition providers normally ask for Rs 20,000 per semester. It will take about 5 to 7 years to complete ( depends upon person to person). Salary package depend upon the industry and as well as the firm from u completed ur training. Normally, starting package for CA qualified is from 60,000 to Rs 80,000. Package in UAE range from UED 20,000 to UED 30,000.

Field is open for women however you may have to do a lot of late sittings and going outstations for audit ( normally firms take care about female students and avoid late sittings and outstations)
