according to some latest news,
last thursday there was a mettieng b/w PWC,KPMG,DEl.,and ICAEW members and these firms agreed to start the trainning/articelship for icaew in pakitan(through there associated offices, like AFF, thk...) this will be started soon , may be with in 1 year.
anyone of u know about its details

I have heard the same news...but E & y was also included in the list of firms for ICAEW articles, hope the matter will become clearer soon...

dear friends,
after reading your message i have sent e-mail to Icaew student support office and they have said that nobody from their organisation went to pakistan to meet the partners of big4 and teachers from Ftc have been to pakistan to persuade students to come to england and study for ICAEW.
here is the message sent by ICAEW to me.

Dear Yasir

Thank you for your email, as I'm aware the FTC which is the accrediting
body has recently been over to Pakistan to encourage students to study
the professional stage of the ACA full time in England and return to
Pakistan to complete the advanced stage in a training contract. At the
present time however the do not have any authorised training firms
within Pakistan for you to complete the ACA and unfortunately the ACCA
is a different qualification then the ACA. I would recommend trying to
obtain a training contract within Bahrain and UAE there you will be able
to study the ACA, Please find the details attached.
