ASA Azeem Bhai,
well nice to see a gud response from members of this forum.. well one thing i'd like to know is why's the karachi public so emotional in their cricket matches.. well if i'm not mistaken there was a 3 match one day series between our 2 coutries about 5 yrs back i think and the karachi one-dayer was interrupted by stone throwing incidents!! any particular reasons why? well come to think of it.. the kolkata crowd here's supposed to be the most unruly so bcci's thinking of limiting the number of international matches being played there..
newayz u can lemme know bout other nice things bout karachi.. lemme tell u i'm interested in knowing anything u gotta say..right from u food habits to ur outlook to life.i'm mean literally anythin.. so feel free and go on..
expectin ur reply soon..

Walaikum assalaam Asif

good to see ur prompt reply. i think Karachites get too emotional over cricket ) i think it is a normal phenomenon in Indo-Pak, we cant see our teams loosing against the rivals. actually its not only in Indo-Pak, stone/bottle throwing incidents happen everywhere, India Pakistan have been labelled for nothing. i witnessed a similar incident in Lords this year b/w Pak-Aus cricket match, same thing happened in West-Indies some time back when Steve Waugh was hit by a bottle of beer.

regarding our interests/tastes and hobbies, i will come back to you on that very shortly.

regards

azeem

Hey, hey hey... who's calling us Khi'ites emotional??!!

We live in a semi-desert area which could explain our slight hot-headedness but most of the time we are as cool as cucumber, calm as april breeze, soft like a woman's touch and nice as charlie brown and more sporting a crowd than anyplace else in the world.

You ppl shouldve been in the Karachi one-dayer when our boys very nearly chased down that indian 349. The ovation and love indian team got in that match set the tone for the whole series. I was in the stadium and have to say that the crowd gave the loudest pop when Balaji hit Akhtar for the straight six. That match was pure fun. People were out there to have fun and enjoy their time than support any team so it in the end, even though our team lost, everybody went home happy. I didnt see any sad faces at all after the match.

Dear Asif,
Majority of Karachi's population consists of those people whose ancestors were from Hindustan (now India), therefore we have the same germs in our blood resembling with yours.
I pray that both the countries should execute a non-war agreement, so the huge budget which is being spent on the defence name, could be utilized for the benefits of its poor people. like education, basic needs etc.
One thing I would like to mention here, arm race b/w both countries have made both of them nuclear powers, otherwise super powers of the countries have the mind that Its the only right of Super Powers to become nuclear powers, thats why they all have very well established nuclear power systems and now they are acting as 'Chaudhary' for other countries like Korea, Iran (in near future indo-pak both) by threatening those small weak countries.

ASA to everybody,
Thanx for the promt replies.. as i was away for the weekend with my friends i cud not reply to ur posts earlier..
newayz one thing i've never understood bout the nuclear arms hoarding is that why are countries all over the world so obsessed with it wen everybody knows no1's ever gonna use it.. nobody's so heartless to use a weapon that's will lead to a disaster worse than the atom bombings of hiro and naga during the second world war!!
guess it's more of prestige than need for self defence that's leading countries all over the world to equip themselves with nuclear arms(well our 2 countries aint any diff from the rest of the pack!)

newayz that apart, it's been nice to know bout karachi.. is there anyone who's been to india before on this forum.. can anyone tell me the approx cost for travelling to pak and back.. not that i'm planning to come there anytime now.. but wud love to someday.. inshallah..

"Mine is bigger than yours"

Now where have we heard this? Since war and military tradition have been a man's forte throughout history, this fixation of having "bigger" and more "effective" "weapons" than others could also have its roots in our own personal insecurities.
