Assume that there are two companies A & B, during last year Company A acquired Company B on global level, but the merger scheme was not finalized. Subsequent to current year, the scheme is finalized by the two entities and it was agreed to merge both with Company A as the resultant entity. So if there is going to be a merger to two entities and one of the two entities will be the resulting entity, Please guide me in this respect that whether the financial statements of Company B should be prepared on going concern basis or otherwise.
