you can register as a student free with ICAEW. However once you decide to give exam you can pay your registration fees with the exam fee. After that you will pay 165 pounds every year. In UK firms pay these fees but in Pakistan independent students will pay them. Those who are on ICAEW training contract will pay their fees to the firm and then firm will deposit the amount to ICAEW.

I think in dubai too firm's pay your academic expenses.Not sure though about this but would like someone to shed some light on this.
