Hi. Im an FSc student. My main aim is CA but I am thinking about first CIMA then CA. Becaz CIMA has a set pattern instead of CA which have no pattern.
But my friends who have done ACCA are saying that since CIMA is a British qualification, so u will have to keep home tuition alongwith teh college/tuition centre where i study for CIMA?
Is this true? Anyone of u have completed CIMA or have any experience about it?
Please guide me.
Thanks

hi fahim,
it is true that cima is valuable but reuires very hard work, and after doing cima u can easily get 25 to 30 k in pakistan(having no practical experiance),if see in international in international perspective, cima is considered to be the best management accounting degree, however acma's have more value in uk,
feel free to contact me ,if u need and detail about cima

hi fahim badshah!yaar regarding cima i will like to give u some feedback as i happen to have a vague idea about professional qualifications.cima is a good qaulification and respected all over the globe, especially in uk.however,it do require hardwork and concentration.keep one thing in mind these qualifications are not difficult and there is nothing that u cannnot learn from a university, but wat actually make them challenging is that they cover a comprehensive syllubus that has to be covered within few examinations(in some cases just one exam per level eg cfa).

if u really are serious about a career in management accounting go for cima as it is recognized equivalent to icmap in pakistan but at the same time has an international exposure to it.regarding the salary and which is the focal point that attract candidates towards a qualification then i must tell u that no qualification will give u 3 to 4 lacs in pakistan(not atleast in the initial stages) but cima sure has demand of starting salary upto 20 to 25 thousand and believe me it is good in pakistan.as u progress with experience there are chances that u might reach 3 to 4 lacs but it will take some years and maybe some additional qualification as well.

be clear and focus.dont get confused.choose a field and then try to be the best in it then only success is guaranteed.want to be an auditor gor for CA,financial manager gor for cfa, managemant accountant go for acma want to be in insurance go for actuary..the rest may compliment ur current profile but are not ultimate end.i hope u got the picture work hard and good luck
