letz start a new discussion...
What is the concept of "peer"(murshid)?
Does this word have some meaning in Islam?
Some ppl believe in Oliya-e-karaam to such an extent that they go to their graves and pray there instead of praying before Allah....
Even I have some relatives who believe in "peer" and "murshids"....and they think following these "murshids" is the basic way to success in the day of judgement...

Yeah Azeem is right... the peeri moreedi concept has its roots into the ''sufism movement''.... Lets not forget that majority of South Asia was converted to Islam through these sufi - mystics.

However, one must always remember the basic tenants of Islam when persuing deoobandi or barelwi thought of schools (i mean any school of thoughts)

Grave worshipping is not part of the ''sufism'''concept''. I would recommend you to read ''Kashf al majoob'' by Ali Usman Al Jullabbi Al Hajweri (Data Gunj Buksh). There are various Urdu, English and (ofcourse) persian editions in the market.

hi...Azeem and Pracs...I didn't try to raise the core dispute between the two "maslak"...I am not a Deoband or Barelvi...I am just a muslim...coz Allah didn't make such divisions in Islam...then y we have divided ourselves in such sects...even we have subdivided our sects...

If somebuddy have any point to make it clear that how "The Murshid" can make our position strong before Allah...
The Real Soufia-e-Karaam were no doubt very good people...but mind it nobuddy will bother about u in the Day of Judgement...Only u urself will be responsible for ur own acts...

bass thatz my point...if u ppl can continue the topic calmly then itz good...but if u find it as a dispute between me and u...then just leave it...

Dear maani

i m not a deobundi or barelwi either or atleast doesnt call myself. as far as i know Pracs also calls himself JUST A MUSLIM and doesn't belong to either of the maslaks.

as pracs mentioned it is much better to read the CORRECT books before we pass on any comments here. i dont believe in grave worshiping either so there is no dispute between the three of us but i m sure there are plenty of members who do believe in such practices and i tell u they have some solid(as per them) reasons to believe.

i m open to any discussion on this forum, provided it is not personal to anyone. i dont see any point discussing it with u as i find myself in the same place as u are.

please allow me to start a relevant non-personal discussion. during my 4 weeks stay in pakistan i saw a person called Dr. Zakir Naik on "Q-TV". i got impressed by the person's knowledge and memory and the best thing i found was he doesnot preach any specific FIRQA/MASLAK instead he tries to prove his points with Quran and sometimes with Sahi Hadith. Apart from extreme self-projection (which is justifiable) I see him as one of the big scholars of Indo-Pak in recent times.

WOULD APPRCIATE YOUR COMMENTS?

kind regards

I noramally wonder ABT True Muslims and An incident always hits my mind.

I dont remmeber that incident correctly but have a concept Abt it.

3 muslim Mujahids (shaheeds) were laying down, Just in verge of death, they were screaming for Water , when someone brought them. They all refused to drink it and requested each other to Have a first chance. But all of them Died without Drinking.

Now Ussama Bin Laden is living , fighting , hiding while other Muslims are beeing slayed , Descriominated, killed and beeing tortured by Non- Muslims. He is living in expense of lives of other Muslims. Is he a true Muslim................ As he Calls himself as A muslim and Jihadi.

Hi...Dear swalat...Usama is only a playing card that America used...they used him as a reason to attack on Afghanistan...the same was the case with Saddam...the used him as a reason to attack on Iraq...
we are emotional people...we do not see the reality...
If Saddam was a real muslim...y he didn't come out and took part in the battle field...y he was caught just like a rat...
How do the American's get the video recordings of Usama...somebuddy says Aljazira TV broadcast that videos...from where Aljazira got those videos...agar reality mein aisa hotta tou abhi tak America Aljazira ko kha chuka hotta...

so just try to find the reality...

So you want to refer that Ussama Is an American Agent and they are manuplating him for there fruitfull purposes and are proving sucessfull in there pursuit...... But i heard that ussama Was A American trained agent who later turned baghi....?

And one more think America is just spreading rumours abt pakistan All over the World that pakistanis Are Absolute terrorists.;;;

In a Recent incident when i was in Thailand... A person probably A native of that Country asked me abt my identity... I told him proudly that i am A Pakistani But he gave a astonishing Reply ... saying that Americans Say - PAKISTANIS ARE TERRORIST. --- he exclaimed it and turned away..

Its Strange But true. Whtas the type of culture There in Middle East and Uk .. I hope there is nmo discrimination out there on the basis of national or Ethnic origins.....

Replies will be greatly appreciated.
