AOA everyone,
Well guys I've been a member of this forum for sometime now. One thing I found first day is still one of the hotest topic and that is "CA or CMA".
Look guys I'm neither a cma nor a ca, but i do know something about both of these. When we compare two things, both must be towards same destiny. This is not the case with CMA and CA. Yeah i know that both r finance related, in both one study approx same courses but CMA leads towards MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING" and CA is all about "AUDITING" (atleast main idea behind ICAP and ICMAP is this. So i don't think one must compare both. Yeah we must always compare ACMA from ICMAP and from CIMA, similar is the case for ICAP and say ICAEW.
If i'm mistaken do tell me otherwise share ur thoughts plz.
ALLAH HAFIZ

You're correct, but there are a lot of fields that are common between ICMAP and ICAP qualifieds...

When forum members are comparing these both, they're basically content with the future prospects and job opportunities for both... Because ICMAP and ICAP are the only two main 'popular' bodies of Pakistan.

Ahmer, who told u that CA is 'only' auditing??!!

You need to learn a little bit (read quite a lot) more about this profession.

True there... CA is about a lot of things... Risk Assessment, Financial Analysis, Auditing, to name a few.

Thanx guys for ur response,
Well, while posting the topic, i was expecting similar kind of response. Well let me confess i had a bit misunderstanding regarding CA, but u have to agree that Audit is one of the most core areas of a CA (tell me if i'm mistaken again).

Yeah mr. guybrush u r right I've to learn Very much, as i said I'm neither a CMA nor a ca.
one thing more Look idea behind posting my current topic was to make us all realize that we people r comparing two things and each one is defending his side, so it leads to a continous discussion.
And yeah ICMAP is about Cost and Management accounting; atleast they state this on their Website.

A Question How much ACMA/FCMA are charging for "thappafying" of cost accounts?

Rs. 2,000...... I guess....

So your main frustation is the compensation factor then!!

===================

Sorry dear theahmer...... you started a nice thread, but Mr. Shehzad here just cant get enough, he just wants more and more and more ........ You know something, there seems to be a major problem with your attitude... No one here has anything against ICMAP... Everyone is entitled to their opinion and you just can't go on 'arguing' if someone has a different perception about things... Your posts are welcomed as long as they're polite and not taunting... So you can say anything as long as you're not being sarcastic to anyone on the forum especially our senior most members who are respectable ACAs...

If you have a different point of view than others, try to support your part of discussion professionally with facts and figures.

Thanks Mr Shehzad, I'll take that as a compliment...

If none of my 'learned friends' as you put it, could answer your questions, I guess you ICMAP qualifieds/students are obviously extremely intelligent and probably or rather obviously more than Chartered Accountants...

But as you yourself said, Chartered Accountants 'in pyara Pakistan..can do anythin and get away with it', I guess ICAP also gives them the license to be on this forum which unfortunately ICMAP doesn't give to its students... But still ofcourse, ICMAP qualifieds/students are more intelligent, sophisticated and have more wisdom than the Chartered Accountants who charge 5000 for an audit.

some posters of this board seem to have a mighty inferiority complex, thats why they go looking for a fight from one topic to another.
