I just received this from a MENSA group. Check this out

KEDA and sindh police in collaboration with Mobile zone is introducing a web-based computerized system through which a stolen mobile phone can be tracked. This system is designed in wake of high rise in mobile snatching crime and its easily selling in open mobile market. A web based system will help user to launch it’s complain of mobile phone theft from any where on given website address. It will shorten the time to stop reselling of that stolen mobile set in open market. Every shop owner has to verify from the website or the phone numbers provided by KEDA before purchasing any used mobile set.
Its operation is very simple and user friendly. Internet is available every where so it’s very easy to make complain on website first, and then register F.I.R at police station. User has to submit F.I.R number on the website after launching the initial complain of snatching of mobile set in which he or she has to submit the IMEI number to mobile phone. A stolen mobile can only be tracked from its IMEI number which is written on back side of mobile set or after dialing *#06# from any mobile set. All users have to keep this number at safe place or remember and mention that number while launching complain of mobile theft on website or KEDA phone numbers.

A mobile seller has to confirm the purchase to used mobile phone either from website or from KEDA phone numbers. Special phone numbers are given on which they can check either mobile set is stolen or not, by giving IMEI number of that set. All shop owners have to take information of the person who is selling used mobile phone. A printed book will be issued to all shop owners and after verifying from either website or from KEDA phone numbers, he has to submit that receipt at KEDA office. By all this, a comprehensive data of snatched mobile phones will be developed and it will be very easy to catch thieve when he comes to sell snatched mobile phone in market.
