ICAP changes edu schemes

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) announced significant changes in the education and training schemes of the institute, president of ICAP, Syed Asad Ali Shah said at the council meeting Thursday.

He said the changes also included publication of suggested answers of examination questions, formation of think tank to generate, collect and disseminate ideas and share the same at national level and formation of committee for Small and Medium Size practices.

i have also got the news that maybe the lapse system will be finished by icap ofcourse icap has to maintain its monopoly they know that acca is fastly growing in pakistan

LOL ..I think ICAP should adopt the policies of CFA institute. Their way of examining the students are way more better than ICAP.

Dears,

The things which from their outlook seem to be beneficial or favoring someone may be doing something adverse. I cannot comment more than it being a member of ICAP.

Please note this post is only for CA students becoz I feel certain steps are increasing the problems of certain class of students but the outlook of such steps appears to be favoring them.

ACCA students are entertained becoz they are cost effective. Even the stipend paid by gold category firms is far lesser than the stipend prescribed by ICAP. This is what ACCA chapter has asked to pay. Don't compare the things otherwise everything has its reason which i prefer not to discuss.
