no, i think the main reason of this problem is ill-instruction, not just illeteracy. everyone know that all sort of vagabonds are the student only (attacking on busses for fare reasos etc). you can see diffrent groups (PSF, MSF and JTI etc)in the colleges and these groups fight each other. therefore i would say education and good training both of theseare a must for the betterment of society.

Mr Sajjad, you are always displaying one sort of philosophy or the other, can you give me an example for supporting your verdict?

But I have got some solid reasons in support of my verdict. there are numberless examples that even ill-educated people, only by good training are rendering many good services i.e. Abdul Sattar Edhi is on the top, by virtue of good instruction but little education, the world is all precise for him. And what educated people do (who don’t have good training/instruction), they are cause of germ of obscenity, vulgarity and sinning there (Pakistan), high class societies do these entire thing and if someone ask them what is it? They reply, it is the modern life. As you can read in this forum, what educated people think about Islam? They think obscenity, vulgarity and sinning are not bad things, these are part of the modern life.

Could you stand at a bus stop after your college is over? Observe girls’s school and collages. You would not find an ogler without education.

Therefore I say education and good training/instruction both of these are a must for the betterment of society. As knowledge is useless without action, education and instruction go cheek by jowl with each other. Without proper education, you can’t understand the ups and down of the society. And unless you are provided with good training, you are unable to eradicate ills. To sum up, you can recognise your LORD only by knowledge. But you can obey to HIS commands by good training only.

If we arrange for both good education and proper nurture, the society can prosper. And if we tolerate these drawbacks, nobody can avert the tragedy.

Problem with our society is the loss of STANDARDS.
Which standard are we following?
Islam! no our society is no more following Islamic standards. I often say that if you once cross the limits of God then there is no limit to restrict you.
Some people argue that every society should be given the freedom of setting its own standards.
We all know which standards our society is setting. Even the most developed societies (SO CALLED) can not define their moral standards.
Every day they are losing them.
A country like India which was used to have its boundries is losing its moral values.
I have heard a girl on Valentine day in an interview on TV saying that Free sex should be permitted in India. So without any DIVINE standards no standard are going to be firm for even a short period.

unfortunately peoples are adopting western culture in the name of modernization. They are following the standards of a society which has the lowest moral values in the world. America has the highest rate of suicide, murder, rape, illegitimate chid, mugging, alcohal ..and....... as far as I know. If this is what we are following in the name if modernization?
