Is a Depo Forward a derivative?

Hi all, I'd like to know if a Depo Forward (not a FRA, a deposit that begin in the future, p. eg. from 01/01/2007 to 01/01/2008) has to be considered a derivative (like FRAs) or not (like a Depo that begin spot). Thanks
