i am a bit confused because some fella's on here say that if you intend to do work ONLY in pakistan, then go for ICAP. so i just wanted to ask that why isn't the CA from ICAP recognized in USA? should i forget about CA and just do CPA since i want to work here in states? or CA? will CA help me define myself here in states or i can't get a job with CA, which means i must have to do CPA? please help. and since ACCA's, ACMA's are not given preference to in america. CPA's are. so can you guide me a little? should i just enroll myself for CPA because i want to work here in carolina? and what is the main difference between CPA and CA? are they interchangeable?

Actually there is a difference of the demand of qualification in every country. CA and CPA are not interchangeable. The only thing why people advice you to do CPA is because you will be preferred more when you will go for a job. Actually it becomes easy and gives you a plus point while finding a job there
