hi,

1 may i know what is the difference of material bom and sales order bom?

2 how many type of bom in costing?

3 from costing standard point, what is the use of bom?

4 may i know what is the relationship between bom and consumption (dr consumption cr raw mats inventory)?

assalamualikum, i am hundred n 50% sure you are asking about "bill of material" hayna hayna? another thing i m sure about is you are working on with some computerized accounting application database or any other software, coz bom is been used in computerized accounting system hayna hayna?lol well yara bom as i said is bill of material, in case of material bom we actually are talking about material consumed in production or something, when it is sales order bom it is bill of material you actually are selling or have received the order...
lets say i m in a business of assembling shirts, and for this raw mateiral i m using is fabric, thread and button. now if i assemble 10 pcs shirts i actually have to define the bill of material a bill for (fabric, thread, and button) consumed in the production of shirts. by bill of material(bom) you actually define the consumption of material for production...hope this help you jazakALLAH
