Dear geo,
that will be a nice practice, but we should setup some crieteria of rating, we will rate the firms on the basis of
1. Clientele
2. Market share
3. Strength
4. Partners
5. No of Qualified Reports issued

By market share, did you mean revenue, SMRaza? And by strength, did u mean the number of staff?

Anyways, if no. of partners is the base, then
1) AFF
2) FRSH
3) THK
4) MYAS
5) Hussain Rehman (?)

Revenue (market share)
1) AFF
2) FRSH
3) MYAS (i think)
4) THK
5) HR

Strength (staff strength)
1) FRSH
2) AFF
3) THK
4) HR
5) MYAS

Well, these ratings are just my opinion.

Hehehe.... No. of qualified opinions just shows that how 'cheater' the clients of a firm are, nothing else!

my criteria for rating firms is on the quality of their working
1 - AFF
2 -
3 - FRSH
4 -
5 - THK

simply, it might make FRSH the number 2, but just to empasise the difference I've used the gaps, and after these 3, there's no such quality, so no ranking. Previously I'd have made it like this

1- AFF
2- SHQ
3-
4-
5- THK
6- FRRM

Agreed with Paki,
but no body has used the crieteria of "Number of Audit Reports Qualified",
anyway this will become a joke, as most of firms qualify the report when they want to get rid of that specific client, or they are not ready to pay Audit Fee according to their requirement
Just a joke...............

anyway i think Paki, AFF is no more number one, now KPMG (THK) has taken its place, tell me sincerely

well you maybe right, cause when I said 'quality of working' it meant quality/unit. but how many units you serve, is equally important and should have a bearing on quality service so here's my revised rating, considering both, quality/unit and total quality.

1. AFF
2. THK & FRSH

I mean its realy close going now.

I think we should have public access to "annual report" of audit firms here as well so that we can have a look at the financial and nonfinancial indicators of these firms....)

I think we r missing an important aspect i.e Student friendly

By student friendly i mean firm providing following facilities to trainees

1. Adequate exam leaves

2. Timely payment of Stipend and Out of pockets.

3.General behaviour of Seniors, Managers and partners.

And i think in this regard FRSH is the best.

I would like to reply regarding rating of firms and was not in agreement with the position of MYASCO as no.5 in stregth who so ever has posted it must not have the concerned knowledge.
Husain Rahman is now syed husain and co had has a staff of hardly 15-20 peoples how can it be on 4th place whereas MYASCO has a staff strength of audit trainees alone at 200-225 at present do u call it no.5??? reconsider your rating

AFF
frsh
MYASCO
THK

I think no. of staff and no. or reports qualified are ridiculous criteria. The main yardstick should be QUALITY of service and number of units, reputation, as well as influence on the accountancy profession. My listing is as follows

1. AFF
2. THK
3.
4.
5. FRSH
6. MYASCO
