Dear

I think we should not mention the name of firms in a negative manner. as it will be unethical.

As i mentioned in another topic

4 days and 3 nights with 4 hours of aggregate sleep. The most trainee-friendly firm.

Hey Nauman, what is so unethical about taking the name of a firm? Lol, is the naming of a firm in public forums prohibited by ICAP's COE? And besides, having late sittings doesnt mean that only the firm is to be blamed for it (or maybe it could be). But then, it could be because of any reason, regulatory deadlines, bad planning on the part of both the management and the audit engagement team, the partners etc.

Yaroo,
when you will start your job, then you will miss the golden days of your articleship,
When you do job, you will have to do more late sittings,(in 90% cases), Our view of thinking changes rapidly, we dont bother to do late sittings (may be due to the diffence in salary & Stipend), and in job you have to do as directed, during audit we have to see what IAS says, what C O 1984 says, but during the job we have to just look what Seth (owner) Says, you must have to sit till he is in the office.

Guybrush agreed.

But still it looks like blaming the firm in a negative manner. (As the author of the topic wrote the word "Ragra".)

People will not mention the reason of late sittings but mention only the duration of late sitting and name of firm, which in my point of view is unethical.

Agreed with nauman,
furthermore, that we should not mention the name of the firm as it will create staff shortage problems for the firms <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Dear SMR
thankx for the tip... but dont u think it seems to be like " mathanofying" the seth rather then doing the job properly???
i mean cant an accountant do his job properly and orderly without the "very" late sittings. fine an hour or two here and there is acceptable by everyone around an accountant but i am refering to the common habit of really late sittings.

Agreed Omar,
but in Pakistan unfortunately, our seth biradri dont have any importance of proper accounting system, they dont even bother to go to professional firms, as somebody stated in other forum, that CAs are hired for tax evasion purposes,
the reason for discussing all this is, the sethia biradri dont give due respect to the professionals which they have hired, and other thing which the seth says is, "if i can sit late then why dont u ??"
so if want to continue that job, we have to follow all the instructions of the seth sahib.
(may be i have diverted the topic to some other way, but this is very important reason of late sittings)
