as velley's accession to pakistan seems a bit impossible, then independent kashmir is definitely an option. whether somone likes it or not. btw i am a punjabi.
in pakistan, people who care for kashmiris want to resolve the kashmir issue immediately, even if it results in some losses to pakistani interests. but people who care for kashmir want the status-quo, and are asking to wait for the day when india is weak enough to be disintegrated. even if no kashmiri is left by that time.

get rid of it. give it to india...not worth the hassle. It's ironic that we are supposedly so worried about our muslims brother dying in kashmir everyday while convienitly ignoring the numbers of ppl dying in our own country from simple reasons such as lack of clean water or quality health care

Its just not about the people, its about the ideology and the geographical/tactical importance of the Province. I agree that we need to save other muslim Pakistanis who are dying of poor health and crime, but the that's not where the buck stops, not yet, hopefully !

what is the ideology being followed? Kashmir does have the tactical importance though with all of our rivers flowing the province. But i'd still rather place my priorities on domestic problems first.

The ideology ofcourse being and maintaining that Kashmir is the unfinished agenda of the Partition plan. Of which all muslim majority provinces must be given the chance to vote and decide to become part of Pakistan or India.

Domestic issues fine, but somethings are far more important that just bread and better.
