Sohaib you are right but after joining RAET and then going for articles is too much time consuming because it is tough enough to get inter in two years . By joing firm you can save your time plus gain a lot of experience.
The other thing is late sittings I think even after earlier sittings its is difficult to allocate time for studies; but still you have to do all this.... and have to sacrify lot

imran you may be right but just think ke being in the firm and doing articles will create a havoc in ones life and its very difficult for a begiiner to clear the strenous and challenging temptations of ICAP so... he might fail aur have refers .... oftenly ... so its much better to study full time for years rather than wasting time and money on papers etc

If you have an accounting background for example you are a bcomer or mcom you should prefer trainee rather than raet. But if is better for students who dont have any base for accounting to join Raet instead of registration as trainee.
For trainees it is easy to study because they have practicle experience but due to timings of firms they have to struggle hard to get time for their study. For raet students there is availibility of time but it is difficult to do conceptual study.
The other topic "SHADI" i think so is not related to this field and my personal opinion is not to marry a ca girl ........ why .... ? that is understandalbe that after doing articles i dont think that ....... you can guess it better.

The thing which is important in professional qualifications is Dedication and Constant Hardwork,
now it is up to you whether you are confident enough that you can study while working in a firm(mind u its a full office timing and tedious routine)
What i think is that one can Qualify while working with a firm Coz we have practicle examples and Offcouse the example setters have one brain like us(dont have 2 or 3)

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE IN THE WORLD, COZ THE WORD IMPOSSIBLE SAYS IT ITSELG "I M POSSIBLE"

WISH YOU ALL VERY VERY GOOD LUCK

yours truly

Dear huma
As i mentiond earlier that for girls this field is not suitable the following are the reasons behind that
The prior most thing is that its amuch tougher field and its much difficult for a girl to give firm timings and late sittings
The other think is that the ones social life ends inthis field and for girls this is so important
And the last thing is age factor

I take exception to the last posting. I think girls should be allowed to take up any field they choose. Its strange that in the west most of the people in finance and accounting departments are women and here we discourage it.
As for late sitting, I hope the more girls are there... the more difficult it becomes for firms to ask for late sittings and hopefully the culture will change.
Frankly the culture of late sitting has gone past civilised behaviour especially in big firms in Pakistan (as I have learnt it)... its more like overnight stays. )
