Dear members,
i am an HSC student in karachi and planning to do actuary or accountacy(finacial or management). The problem in actuary is tht i am a pre-engineering student from the beginning and i dont know shit about statistics.
however i am hard working and devoted to my cause at the same time i really don,t know whts comin to me i i chose actuary. So inthis regard wht should i do before taking a step in acturial sciences.

I suggest to appear for the A' Level Mathematics exam with Stats papers 1 and 2. If you don't feel like studying the whole subject, sit for the Stats half credit exam. It will introduce you to statistics.

By the way maybe next time you should post these kind of queries in the "Students" or "Careers" sections <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

well... if u don't know stats then it is highly unlikely that you'll even clear the entry test coz a friend of mine gave the entry test for actuary about 3 months back and although he knew stats he was no.64 out of 67 candidates...
so i guess u should learn stats before applying for actuary!! i think farazthegreat has a good advice

If I could... Then I would... Turn back time!!
