Asalam o alikum every1!
im new on this forum... and new to all this accountancy stuff.
I just completed my a levels... and maybe I will go for accountancy instead of typical engineering.

The problem is i dont know much about all the accountancy degrees and their career path or recognition in different countries! i have visited the websites of a few institutions and read few topics here, but in the fact is that its all very confusing to me. Ppl here use SOOOOOO many abbreviations! theres CA, acca, cma, cpa, icmap, mra, etc etc

I'm an american national so the plan is to settle there. ANd my simple ques here is that, just like CA is done to become a chartered accountant in Pakistan, so what must be done to become chartered accountant is USA??? and what is the best institution to do it in pakistan?

Well if ur plan is to move to usa after studies then u should go for CPA . AICPA is the institute there for this purpose. basic req would be (if i m not wrong) usa bachelor degree along with other stuff to sit in their exams.

Other option to u could be CFA . u could visit there site and get enrolled. these certifications r in gr8 demand in usa and u could find a gud job in usa after these.

Hope it helps.

thx
