I am not a qualified person, but i will still give an advice. Many trainees don't study at all in the first year of their training, because they are eligible to give Module E after one and a half year. Do not follow this practice. Start studying from day one, even if you manage to study only an hour everyday.
I strongly recommend ACCA books and past papers. If you take a look at some of the ACCA papers' exam questions, you will not find any significant difference in the level of testing between ICAP and ACCA.
Examples

Paper E14's equivalent is Paper P2 in ACCA.
Paper E16's equivalent is Paper P3 in ACCA.
Papers F17, F18, F19 and F20 have equivalents P5, P4, P6 and P7 respectively.
