KARACHI (November 09 2003): The State Bank has made it clear to banks that 'Pottery' is also included in the export finance scheme.
The State Bank on Saturday issued a circular saying that some banks are reluctant to provide export finance facility, under the export finance scheme, to the exporters of 'Pottery' items.
“It is clarified that export refinance facility is admissible for 'Pottery' items as well as table-ware, kitchen ware, other household and toilet articles made from clay, ceramic, china, porcelain, plastic etc, under the export finance scheme,” said the circular.
The items are not included in the 'Negative List' of the commodities, it added.
