Chartered accountants’ moot on Information/Fiscal Law challenges

Chartered Accountants from all over India will meet on a single platform at a national seminar on the Emerging Information/ Fiscal law challenges and opportunities organised by the Lucknow chapter of the Institute of the Charted Accountants. Renowned names in accountancy like Chetan Dalal from Mumbai, one of the 20 certified fraud examiners of the country, will also be present at the two-day seminar to discuss case studies in computer frauds.

Talking to Express Newsline, the Chairman of the Lucknow Chapter of the Institute of the Chartered Accountants of India, Rajiv Bansal informed ‘‘Even professionals need to upgrade their knowledge from time to time in order to have better effeciency. Such talks with the renowned faces of the industry will be an eye opener for many in the city.’’

The enthusiasm among the charted accountants of the city regarding the seminar is evident by the fact that as 350 CAs have already registered for the event. Bansal said ‘‘We are expecting 100 more such registrations tomorrow.’’

The topics to be covered in the event will include, eGovernance in taxation, computer fraud, Hindu law and taxation, controversial issues in service tax, company law and emerging trends in taxation and legislature.

‘‘The idea behind keeping the conference at such a level is that it will equip chartered accountants to face future challenges by learning from the experience of renowned personalities in the field.’’ said Bansal.
