LAHORE (October 09 2009) – ACCA Pakistan recently organised Talent Management and Recruitment Fair 2009 in Lahore to bring ACCA students, affiliates and ACCA Approved Employers on one platform. During the event, ACCA Pakistan also launched its first career portal in partnership with Rozee.pk.
This portal provides access to a range of employment opportunities for accountancy professionals and at the same time facilitating employers in recruitment of best finance professionals and trainees. The Launch ceremony was presided by Mr Arif Masud Mirza, Head of ACCA Pakistan and Mr Monis Rahman, CEO Naseeb Networks.
At the event, Mr Rana, Director General PIFRA, Auditor General of Pakistan, Mr Kamran Iqbal Yousafi, Partner, KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co. Chartered Accountants, Mr Farooq Hameed, Senior Manager Audit, Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder & Co. Chartered Accountants, Mr Sajjad Iftikhar, Controller of Accounts, Packages Limited and Mr Jawwad Ahmad, Head of Internal Audit, Lahore Stock Exchange (Guarantee) Ltd spoke to 350 ACCA students/affiliates and briefed them about their organisations recruitment practices, corporate culture, roles and responsibilities of the finance function.
In addition to the above organisations, Wartsila Pakistan, MCB Bank Limited, Albaraka Islamic bank, M. Yousaf Adil Salim & Co, Treet Corporation, Millat Tractors, Coca-Cola Beverages Limited, Pepsi Cola Riaz Bottlers, Bahria Town, LUMS, UET and SKP Group also set up their stalls in the recruitment Fair.
