Duty drawback allowed on printing inks, sanitary ware

ISLAMABAD (January 22 2003) : The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has given duty drawback facility on export of 24 types of printing ink and a ceramics sanitary product, say two different notifications issued on Tuesday.

The duty drawback on printing inks would be available to Coates Lorilleux Pakistan Limited, Lahore, from Jan 27, 2001, while Asif Ceramics, Muridke, can claim rebate on ceramics sanitary exported during December 8, 2000-December 23, 2002.

The CBR has issued two notifications ie SRO 60(I)/2003 and SRO 61(I)/2003 to provide rebate facility to the above-mentioned exporters.

The extent of repayment would be 7 percent of the fob value on the export of ceramics sanitary and ranges between Rs 4.95- Rs 107.87 per kilogram on the export of printing inks.
