When do these top10 firms recruit?

Could any1 please put forth a complete list of the firms here in Pakistan that offer ICAEW contracts also keeping in mind their respective ranking.

mini, why don't you go through those links and call those firms or go to their office yourself and ask? You will know their requirements

Lol, ill share an experience with you I faced recently.. I think its a month old story.. I went to the A.F.Ferguson office in KHI personally to have a talk with whoevers responsible for hiring of trainees (HR dept) and you know what happened? I wasn't even given a chance to approach someone as I was kept standing in the main entrance while a guard there had recieved orders from whoever on a phone and further on I was told to keep checking out the online site of AFF for any updates in recruitment in so n so months time.

However oddly enough they do respond to queries via calling them yourself.

Also I've never personally asked them about whether they giveout ICAEW contracts or not on the phone but I can imagine it would be a waste of time... since, even on their online site only the students of ACCA / CA could apply for training..

And I would like for someone with the recent market knowledge (who have seen/heard of such firms that do give out such contracts) to give out a list of firms that do issue contracts for ICAEW (with rankings) please.

There was a topic in this forum, and a student of ACCA was doing ICAEW training in one of the BIG FOUR. He had said they only give you an ICAEW contract once you have worked with them for a year as ACCA trainee.
I don't know why the firms here are so reluctant to give out ICAEW contracts. They don't pay any exam fee, nor any tuition fee or exam fee. It's beneficial for them to give it out, since the trainee will stick to them for three years.

Yeah I read that topic, but that rarely happens.. even tho these firms dont want to pay for our expenses.. they rarely would issue a side amended non - expenses contract aswell..

And regarding the matter of sticking with them for 3 years.. Correct me if I'm wrong ... but as far as i know they issue contracts for training that last for 3 years.. so sticking with them is more of a legal obligation not an incentive. By 3 years you mean 4 years in total right?

It can be three years in total. The firm MAY consider the previous year as well.
It's very disappointing such good firms are too miser to pay even the annual subscription(Let alone other expenses) of ICAEW trainees, which is compulsory for them. You should try to get inducted in a firm offering ICAEW, as an ACCA trainee. In the interview you can express your interest that you wish to persue ICAEW training and discuss the matter right then.
I had asked KPMG islamabad about the ICAEW contract, they said you should discuss that in the interview.

That's correct. What i meant was that the 3year contract is an incentive for them, not us, and despite that they don't give out much contracts

MAN.. ive heard by many people not to even bring up the issue of ICAEW in interviews.. lol .. waheen par break maar kar nikaal daingay xD

You can ask it when the interviewer asks if you have any questions(This can be one of many questions). If ICAEW contract is what you aim for, then asking is far better you will have nothing to lose.
