Aslam-o-Alaikum every one, I am Nadir

Well this on is a common question asked mostly by the students ( including me , I am from MFC 3rd Batch, Karachi )who unfortunately find it difficult to qualify Foundation and Intermediate exams of ICAP and they get delayed in joining articles.

I have also applied to FRSH, KPMG, DELOITTE and AASR GT and I knew that first three might not call me and I planned from where I would be call for joining I'll joined that firm. I was called by FRSH for interview and they rejected me by saying " We have cv's better than your one so try another place " Than I was required to appear in Y-Adil test and than in interview called by AASR and after interview I
Was appointed. Y-Adil called afterwards which I rejected.

Moral of the story " That place is better where you perform better and you are considerd better "

As far as Pakistani audits are concerned I think all the big firms have almost same working style and after qualifying many qualified joined different firms creating a mixup environment within the firm.

So AASR is the best. Work hard, Work smart, impliment what we've learned and we will be as good as after qualifying every CAs are !

i think so Deloitte is better than Anjum Asim bcoz they have more audit clients tha Anjum Asim and also Anjum Asim is more specialized in consultancy they have lmited scope in audit

<br />Big firms definitley count much, however, it never means you have lost very much if you articled from somewhere else. Basic thing is learning and that depends much on the person who is getting training more than the place where you are.

For those who are interested in their own practice small firm is a better idea.

Hi Alishan, was that an agreement with my point of view? Atleast that looked like an agreement, however, your statment being somewhat ambiguos leaves some what doubt.

I think there was nothing for anyone to disagree in my post. Ofcourse try to get your best chance, but, life never ends after big3.

The local ranking of the firms is also important. Although deloitte is No 2 world wide in pakistan MYACO (which is representing deloitte) is not No 2. more over the culture over there is also not very much professional. I would suggest that you should go for AFF, FRSH, KPMG and then AAR.

You learn more in consultancy asignments. deloitte (MYASCO) is not than much professional.
