Yes, presently I'm pursuing CIMA and would like to go for CA afterwards Inshallah. Then I intend to chase the Partnership of some reputed CA firm.

Hmmm, college life. Well there is nothing much to talk about since I only visited my college for getting my admit card. [D] However, I do have some good memories relating to ICMAP Head Office. Me n my friend used to tease our teachers by picking mistakes in their lectures. Being good with computers, I was my IT teacher's pet. He used to offer me to conduct labs where I taught MS Excel and MS Access. I made so many friends then and i'm still missing them and ICMAP. Looking forward to visit ICMAP someday. [)]

Same here, I just used to go colleg for practical just and for having admit card. And Government colleges of Landhi, Korangi suck a lot... There were no teachers to teach us our subjects, ( thay to sahi lakin colleg ana gawara nahe kartay thay or students per blame tha k regular nahe hotay hain). There is no good memory of colleg life.. But my school's life was awsom... I truly miss it.... and often go there to meet our school stuff.

Beghair paison k? Bewaqoof insaan, punjab ka education se related budget aur sindh k budget mein bohat faraq hai. Jitna paisa punjab mein laga rahe hein agar sindh mein lagaein to sindh k teachers DEVOTED hon. Waise kuch teachers hein jo full devotion se parhate hein lekin colleges ki poor attendance policies ki waja se students haath se nikal jate hein. Apna ye provincial pride apne tak rakho to behtar.

Shahbaz

Who told you that Islamabad is in Punjab? It's strange to see such post of yours.

Allocation of budget is at the free will of provincial governments. All provinces are getting equal rights as per agreed formulae and now after signing NFC (in which Punjab really sacrificed for brother provinces) it would be total injustice to blame Punjab at all.

Notwithstanding the above, I believe that the quality of education at Karachi is better than Punjab in so many aspects. Although Lahore offers good opportunities for education but definitely Karachi is better on this area.

Kamran.

Kamran bhai,

Aap ko ye to pata hi hoga k literate ki definition har province mein alag alag hai. Issi se andaza laga lein k kia chal raha hai. Waise bhi awaisaftab ki ye baat k islamabad mein teachers achey hein karachi mein bonge. mujhe pasand nahi aai. Pakistani ho to aik ho k raho / Pehle hi kam firqe hein?

Shahbaz

Awais was only showing a bortherly concern as per my guess. He did not mean to portray any bad picture of Karachi.

We are of course united and one nation. Provinces, castes, and ethnic groups carry no weight when our national unity is in question. As far as definition of "Literate" is concerned, we should pursuade to improve it wherever it is not upto the mark. We all know we have to go a long way in achieving this target.

As far as Islamabad is concerned, (that is a symbol of confederation), Sindh has same proportion of Islamabad's ownership as the Punjab or NWFP or Balochistan can claim. So Islambad is of all provinces. Don't take it as something specifically connected to Punjabis.

I hope you will understand.

Regards,

KAMRAN.

Kamran is right. I was only sharing my grief over education backwardness. I am totally agree with kamran. The level of education in Karachi was very good till eighties (80s) even people from Punjab went to Karachi for getting education. We all know who polluted the educational environment of Karachi, who brought arms in the colleges and universities of Karachi. As far as degrees of educational institutions of Karachi are concerned they are considered worth full but the degrees of other educational institutions of Sindh not considered good. Generally the concept prevails that the degrees are distributed on other grounds not on the basis of knowledge.

In Rawalpindi/Islamabad there is no government polytechnic institution, no government owned Law College, there is no post graduate commerce college and finally there is not a single college which offers education in evening even at graduate level. Education in Law and other postgraduate programs is offered by the private institution.

This is only Karachi where you can do LLB, M.Com and other masters in evening. I think in SM Law College’s LLB program is carried on in evening. These facilities are not available even in Islamabad. Education is available at very low cost in Karachi
