yes u r surely able to join acca after 5 papers..but i recommend you to complete CAT before joining acca..
firstly you gain an extra qualification..
secondly completing CAT will enable you join directly from ACCA part II (1st three papers are exempt on completion of CAT (ie the last 4 advanced papers)..
and lastly you can straight away trasnfer urself to ACCA main scheme without any gaps and attempt the next papers from the following session...
also last four papers of CAT include taxation which is almost the same paper as ACCA 2.3 (with very minute exceptions)...
