yeah CEO position is related to profit maximization of shareholders so CFA designation might prove to be beneficial in this course. But it is not a rule of thumb. Infact CFAs are hired mostly by distressed equity firms and mostly you ll find them in investment or asset management side of financial sector. I think CPA and other accounting certifications are more worthwhile in the long run since their demand is never down. CFAs biggest employers are the banks that we are now seeing underwater like citigroup etc.

But I also agree with Mishran it has a proven track in Fin industry
