Dear Irfan5
Long ago, I studied a course in management auditing. Also, got a chance to see Gliem's material. Whatever you studied in MCom a decade ago is not enough. I would again suggest you to get a good basic book in internal auditing (perhaps from PU or any other library in your city) and study by yourself to make an initial base. I would also suggest you to have Swayer's Internal Auditing book (photocopy is available in big cities in Pakistan). Search this forum, I have seen exact contact information from where photocopy of this book can be purchased. You may also contact local chapter of IIA in Pakistan to buy such material in Pakistan. I am quite sure, lot of resources are available in Paksitan these days.
Make sure, you have not downloaded Gliem's 2004 reading material available from various internet sites, because it does not have any explanation but only practice advisories and Standards in formal lingo. It is quite useless, in my view, for someone who is developing his base. Also, quite difficult to comprehend.
Do you have Gliem's MCQs software? You can export chapterwise MCQs in Windows XPS format, have a print of those, and read explanation of each option, even the wrong one to develop your understanding.
I am sorry, I have never been a notes person, nor had and neither keep any.
