If you want to feel proud then degree is not that thing in which you must have a pride. Getting the right job makes you and your parents proud. If you were a CFO, your children would not even ask you your qualification, that designation speaks for itself.
The dreams which students see before finishing their studies do not reflect reality They dream of getting a high paid, high value job right after graduating without any efforts. This maybe true in some cases, but not most. Todays market is VERY competitive. You do not know this because you have not had practical exposure yet. Even full time graduates from reputed universities find it hard at times to find the right job, let alone external program graduates.
