Dear Kamran,
When ever I see your name on this Forum I read you with respect and seriously. I have developed a liking for you only due to one reason that I have seen where it comes any issue relating to the general collective interest of the ailing common man/community you encourage the efforts unlike those who mostly laugh at on such type of issues.
I am a senior citizen. I lost my one eye three years back after an operation. In other I got back 25% but reading vision only. Hence I do not indulge in unncessary arguments and mostly avoid indulding in "Replies" just as a fun my name to appear every where.
I wish that you do not indulge yourself in the debate Mohammed Amir has started. It has long been a practice to label every one agent of CIA, or Indian agent or a Jew or Kafir. The level of high knowledge Amir has, like his confident claim what is in the near future to happen with President of Iran etc to this senior citizen only those people can have who one way or the other connected with such agencies.
What Hamid Mir says, or what Dr. Shahid Masood talks, ALLAH has given all of us vision. We can judge ourselves because today we are fortunately living in sea of information coming from different corners whether we are educated or semi literate. Of course every word said on TV talk show or in a newspaper is not be believed in toto nevertheless at least I can not immediately treat every word coming from the mouth of say Hamid Mir as from a CIA agent or that coming from respected Irshad Ahmad Haqqani as paid under Lifafa journalism. ALLAH has given some vision to me and I see what is being said, what are naked facts on the earth.
In this debate someone (perhaps you) states every information is not reliable and examplehas been given that there had recently been lot of talk that people have left their cars in Dubai and ran away which is incorrect as some friend/relative in Dubi tells it was incorrect.
Kamran, it is not necessry that if like Mohammed Amir (or who ever said above this - due to my eye sight unfortunately I can not trace reference from above replies) his friend in Dubai has not seen any car left in Dubai the fact is not true. This is fact hundreds of cars due to financial crisis have been left in Bahrain as owner have gone. I can not quote you official reference from Dubai CAA which quoted many cars parked and abandoned there. Many are in the street and the time will expose these cars when after long months of parking the police takes them. As I told you that I have a very poor eye sight hence I can not now trace that reference which I never preserved as I did not knew tomorrow it may be needed. However, I quote herewith a reference which might give a little support to the story that people have left cars in Dubai. And the reference is that you go to page 20 of the special colourful supplement entitled "CAR bahrain" published by monthly "Bahrain Confidential" Managine December 2008 Issue 37. It has a heading reading "Buy one car, get one free sayd desperate British car dealers". The article reads "It is the kind of offer you normally see at the supermarkets - buy one get one free. But with the UK economy in crisis, car makers hve been forced into making the same deal to shift their vehicles. As the sales plummt, dealers are offering one make of family saloon for Pound 20,000 with another one thrown in for nothing.........". I will keep this supplement for a few days if you may need by post. AS I can not surf much perhaps you could find it on www.arabianmagazine.com. My best regards to you Kamran - please keep on touching civic community matter.
