Dear,

Stock exchanges could be the example of capital markets. In fact capital market is not used in tangible / physical terms or to specify a location or place. It depicts a sector which deals in securities and other such instruments.

A capital market is simply any market where a government or a company (usually a corporation) can raise money (capital) to fund their operations and long term investment. Selling bonds and selling stock are two ways to generate capital, thus bond markets and stock markets are considered capital markets.
