I have a thinking that after ICAEW has come to PAKISTAN , most of thye students who have done ACCA will prefer to go for ICAEW rather thaan ICAP and the position will be changed .Is it going to ease in the conditions for migration to UK.

Dear,

Like what has been stipulated for awarding the ACA status of ICAEW to the ICAP members , similar conditions are applicable to an ICAEW member to become a practicing chartered accountant in Pakistan.

Again, one will not be allowed to get into public practice in Pakistan, if he is ICAEW member unless he fulfills the required conditions. This, in my view, includes qualifying certain papers of ICAP.

As far as migration is concerned, it is easily available to ACCAs under HSMP, if they have certain amount of experience and money baking.

Therefore, in my view, getting ICAEW qualification and membership is more focussed on improving professional status and vision and getting more diversification in advanced financial and accounting studies.

Best regards,

Dear Khani,

If you need the detailed application (assessment) form, I can send it to your email ID. However, you can download it from the website of british high commission.

There are 100 points/marks out of which as per my memory almost 75 are required to secure for getting HSMP.

- 5 marks are of persons less than 31 year's age.

- 30 to 50 marks can be secured from qualification ranging from Masters to Doctorate.

- 30 to 50 marks can be secured from earnings (not from inherited sources) supported by tax payments and involvement of crossed/verifiable banking channel. (Normally above than Rs. 60,000 per month earnings make the both ends meet for this purpose).

There could also be other marks as well which I dont exactly remember.

However, if anybody is interested to opt for HSMP, he should seek guidance from immigration consultants. They normally tell you in advance the chances of getting HSMP approval. They normally arrange HSMP approval for their clients on certain amount of fee agreed in advance which ranges from 600 british pounds to 1200 british pounds. (even more than it).

After HSMP approval, the applicant has to apply for Entry Clearance, for which normally the consultants do not take any responsibility. It has so many reasons which mainly include expected fictitious documentation by applicants or false statements included in HSMP application by the applicant which are normally not known to the consultants. Anyways!

On securing HSMP approval one ha sto apply for Entry Clearance within 6 months and after Entery Clearnace one has to fly to UK within 6 months.

Out of 5 initial years allowed in HSMP visas, if one resides at UK and works there for at least 4 years, he gets the residential status. After getting residential status, he becomes eligible for applying citizenship, after completing some requirements.

Hope this will be of benefit to you.

Regards,

Dear Khani, I think you did not know about the ICAEW track in PAKISTAN.
As u know that it is for ICAP members but ACCA's and CIMA can also join ICAEW through this track.

PLZ clear your mind, only those ACCA and CIMA can join this track who have Membership of their relative institutes.

I am not here to fight with anybody. I recognise the worth of ICAEW but everyone should keep in mind, ICAP is OUR INSTITUTION, we should prefer it.
Second thing is, Only ACCA members can join ICAEW through PAKISTANI Track along with Members of ICAP and CIMA, NOT JUST ACCA AFFILIATES.

Dear Alishan and Astute,

please go and see this link

http//www.greece.k12.ny.us/instruction/ela/SocraticSeminars/dialoguedebatediscussion.htm

It highlights the difference between discussion and dialogue...

now what do you think if we are discussing things here then every thing is on right track but if we are dialoguing then things are not in compliance

I guess Mr. Kamran does not admire any such difference.

Dear Shoaib,

I wonder why, besides appearing to be a good professional, you some times leave using mind at all. Debate and discussion are quite different in their nature from the dialogue.

Any reconciliation is not desired here in these professional debates / discussions, as these are either purposed for conveying own ideas or to learn from others' thoughts and experiences, and are not meant for agreeing by some one or compelling some one to agree on some view point by any means.

If you concentrate, you will find the difference.

Regards,

Kamran.
