Certainly didnt mean to ridicule, it was just a tongue in cheek statement. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

On the topic of movies, must say that our Pakistani movies dont fare much better in this regards, ie vis a vis the portrayal of india and indians.

As regards to the partying scene, its here alright but mostly in the form of private parties. Yes, there are a clubs here in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, but they all cater to a specific section of the society and access is mostly by invitation or contacts.

Other than clubbing, there are many other things to do in Pakistan. I would recommend that you visit Pakistan and spend a few months here to learn more about our recreational activites and lifestyle. I am sure that you'd enjoy your time here. We are the most gracious hosts. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

hey relax ppl.. well frankly i'm surprised by the response ayesha's post has evoked among the other members.. all this while this was a very peaceful thread and i cudnt see many members posting on it<img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>
one post by someone questioning it and voila there are a flurry of posts criticizing that one!!

We only watch our own channels for news and entertainment, read only locally written books, buy only Pakistani things, watch only pakistani movies, eat only pakistani dishes and like to talk only about ourselves. Call us narcisstic or self-centered, but thats how we are.
