I think that one should go for the int'l stream since, EU is moving towards IFRS itself, there is a big demand for IAS/IFRS specialists in the UK/Mainland. Please correct me if I am under the wrong impression.

IFRS will be the global standards of the future..

dear all

there isn't much diff b/w the two and you can always update urself!!!

i studied IASs in Pakistan before moving to UK - then studied FRSs and SSAPs - couldn't find much diff except Retirement Benefits & Deferred Tax and few minor issues. Now i am planning to do DipIFRS to update myself again - just for my own sake.

for a beginner i would advise u to go straight for IAS coz thats what the future is.

regards

azeem
