Anam

Dear, go for another attempt of PPT; no two opinions at all. This is what you MUST do.

So if you can't get through, you have two options to build a career;

PIPFA route to CA, that will exempt you from PPT and first two modules of CA; and

ACCA route to CA, that will exempt you from first 4 modules of CA.

ACCA is advisable if you can afford its cost that is material, specially if you can't get through its exams in first attempts. It has an advantage of being much better than PIPFA.

PIPFA is not MUCH costly when compared to ACCA. It, at its own, is not that a signifixcant qualification though. Yet is good to provide exemption of three exams ie PPT, module A and module B.

Although ACCA is better than PIPFA, yet considering your issues, circumstances and ultimate objective, I feel PIPFA will, in your specific case, be more practical and cost effective.

Go for PPT attempt, visit PIPFA office at Park Avenue, Shahrah-e-faisal, and get the detailed info.

If you get through PPT, it will get a direction. If not, go for PIPFA.

No confusion.

When compared to B Com and PPT combination with PIPFA, I guess the later will bring bit better chances for you to get into at least in some quality small firms or leading mid-tier firms.

This is in the case if you don't go for private CA inter and intend to join a firm soon after your PPT and B Com up front.

Anam,
Pipfa initial registration cost is Rs 1800.
Tuition fee charged by pipfa own tuition centre is Rs 3000 per paper for foundation and inter stage and Rs 4000 per paper for final stage. So total tuition fee is Rs 33000.
Examination fee for all 10 papers sums up to nearly Rs 6000.
Books cost is additional.
Annual subscription for pipfa is Rs 900 yearly.
After pipfa u would get exemptions in ICAP for ppt,mod A and B.For this an exemption fee is charged which is Rs 9000.
Regards.

Dear

Of course PIPFA is not a significant qualification or a core qualification. Nevertheless, it will exempt you from PPT and two initial exams of CA.

Personally I never liked shortcuts and such indirect routes for myself; but I believe you will be benefited by adopting such route for so many reasons.

Don't get confused; attempt PPT, and if don't get through, immediately go for PIPFA.

Regards,

Kamran.
