Can any one guide me for following questions. I shall be highly obliged for an early response.

1. What is the status of deloitte member firms in Pakistan? Do member firms serve as partners of deloitte or directly deloitte controls these firms.

Its financial consulting status (SAP, Oracle)

2. If a member firm hires an employee does that employee get an appointment letter from member firm (on deloitte letter head) or directly from deloitte head office.

3. Does that employee have a status of international employee?

4. What standard benefits deloitte and its members extend to its employees

Regards,

Well i cant tell u specifically as im not in delloite, but in KPMG. But, i think the same wud b the case with yousuf adil as is with taseer hadi. here are ur replies...
1) it is actually a network of independant member firms affiliated with International parent. Policies procedures and work style is adopted from the parent and u may say it as the Pakistan version of delloite international.
2) The letterheads of CA firms mention both the name of delloite international and the Pakistan affiliate, but will be issued by Pakistan affiliate.
3) U can say, an international employee, as we also go abroad KPMG locations for 6 months or some other period. and i think same is case with deloite
4)This can be answered by a deloite person...

Thank you very much for quick response.

What abt deloitte(Saleem & Co) IT consulting status (SAP, Oracle Financials)

What standard benefits other accounting firms offer to their employees like yours(KPMG) just to give an idea for negociations as some body has asked for.

Thanks

As an old fergie, I think its my God given right to correct you that the 'A F' in A F Ferguson & CO. stands for

Alexander Fletcher.

Can any one confirm that, my memory may be a bit rusty. For any one in the Lahore office there is a Potrait of A F Ferguson on the 'Partner's side' of the offices with the name underneath. Care to validate that?

Corrigendum

I posted in my above reply that 'A.F.' stands for 'Alfred Fernandus'. So, after informing me by Pracs, I acknowledge my mistake & correct it as per the right information that 'A.F.' stands for 'Alexander Fletcher'.

Thanks Pracs for your correction!
Regards!

@ Adnan arshad
Well ironically speaking,u have not given the actual words of abbreviation KPMG....

@ rida
Well havent heard much of Deloitte IT consulting in Pakistan. A deloitte person can give a more appropriate answer...
and regarding standard benefits, it is somewhat confidential and cant tell u on this public forum...
u may send an email on my profile here...

Well, im working in ford rhodes (plannin to quit, as im not good at audit, its boring..)
if ur an acca based student, just clear till 2.3 and apply and be very presentable and interative in the interview.
prepare for interview well.. like things like, "what r ur strong and weak points", "where do u see ur self in the next 5 yrs..".. etc..
ford rhodes is a member firm of Ernst & Young Global ltd. which (as far as i came to know), has the largest network in the middleeast region.. and there are some good secondment opportunities in the firm.

regards
