CIMA – Updated examination format

From the May 2003 exams all Intermediate level papers, except for Systems and Project Management, will carry 20 marks worth of objective test questions (OTQs). These will mainly be in multiple choice question format.

Management Accounting Decision Making and Management Accounting Performance Management already contain 20 marks of objective testing and the formats for these papers will not change.

Finance and Business Taxation already contain OTQs and the allocation of marks will be standardised to 20 for these papers from May 2003.

Organisational Management, Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting (both UK and International standards) do not currently contain any objective test questions and will change to the new format from May 2003.
